Minutes:

In the absence of the Leader, the Deputy Leader, Councillor Dewhirst, chaired the meeting.

To approve as a correct record and sign the minutes of the previous meeting.

Minutes:

The minutes of the meeting held on the 3 September were confirmed as a correct record and signed by the Chairman.

4.

Local Government (Access to Information) Act 1985 - Exclusion of Press and Public

RECOMMENDED that, under Section 100A(4) of the Local Government Act 1972, the press and public be excluded from the meeting during consideration of item 5 on the grounds that it involves the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in the relevant paragraphs 1, 2 and 3 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Act.

The Deputy Leader proposed, seconded by Councillor Connett and

 

RESOLVED that under Section 100 (A) (4) of the Local Government Act 1972 the press and public be excluded from the meeting of the following item of business on the grounds that they involve the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraphs 1, 2 and 3 of part 1 of schedule 12 A of the Act.

 

5.

Appointment of Head of Place and Commercial Services

Minutes:

The Managing Director presented the report to recommend to Full Council the appointment of the Head of Place and Commercial Services.

 

In response to Members questions, the Managing Director clarified the recruitment process.

 

It was proposed by the Deputy Leader, seconded by Councillor Connett and  

 

RECOMMENDED that Full Council approve the appointment of the Head of Place and Commercial Services.

 

(The recommendation was carried unanimously)

 

Executive Members would be advised of the recommendation as part of the Council’s process for the appointment of positions to the Senior Management Team.
