Local Government (Access to Information) Act 1985 - Exclusion of Press and Public RECOMMENDED that, under Section 100A(4) of the Local Government Act 1972, the press and public be excluded from the meeting during consideration of the following item on the grounds that it involves the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in the relevant paragraphs 1 and 2 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Act.
Minutes: RESOLVED that under Section 100 (A) (4) of the Local Government Act 1972 the press and public be excluded from the meeting of the following item of business on the grounds that they involve the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraphs 1 and 2 of part 1 of schedule 12 A of the Act.

Appointment of the Monitoring Officer to the Council Minutes: The report was submitted to recommend to Full Council the appointment of the Monitoring Officer to the Council.
It was noted that Cllr Connett was a Standards Committee member and Cllr Keeling had Legal Services in his portfolio.
It was agreed that the post title be the Head of Legal Services and Monitoring Officer to the Council.
RECOMMENDED that Full Council approve the appointment of Paul Woodhead as Monitoring Officer to the Council.
In line with the Constitution Executive Members were consulted and raised no objections.
