The Licensing and Regulatory Sub-Committee considered an application for a Private Hire Vehicle Licence extension for a Mercedes Sprinter vehicle registration P999 LMO.

 

The Sub-Committee noted the information provided by way of the report and heard representations from the Applicant. In particular it noted that the vehicle’s MOT certificate (with no advisories) expires in July 2022 and the vehicle had passed its annual taxi inspection test on 5 July 2021.

 

The Sub-Committee was satisfied that the vehicle was in a good and sound condition and that public safety would not be compromised by the granting of the licence sought.

 

Decision

Accordingly, the Sub-Committee grants the Private Hire Vehicle Licence Extension as detailed in the report subject to the condition that the vehicle undergoes six monthly vehicle inspection tests due to the age of the vehicle and continues to comply with all other conditions as set out in the report.

The Licensing and Regulatory Sub-Committee considered an application for a Private Hire Vehicle Licence extension for a Vauxhall Zafira vehicle registration PN11 GAU.

 

The Sub-Committee noted the information provided by way of the report and heard representations from the Applicant. In particular it noted that the vehicle’s MOT certificate (with advisories) expires 29 July 2022. The Sub-Committee noted that the vehicle had passed its annual taxi inspection test on 2 July 2021 with the same advisories as the MOT.

 

The Sub-Committee was satisfied that the vehicle was in a good and sound condition and that public safety would not be compromised by the granting of the licence sought.

 

Decision

Accordingly, the Sub-Committee grants the Private Hire Vehicle Licence Extension as detailed in the report for a further twelve months on the condition that all the advisories are addressed before the licence is issued and that the vehicle undergoes a six monthly vehicle inspection test due to the age and recorded mileage of the vehicle.

The Sub-Committee noted that the vehicle had passed its annual taxi inspection test on 25 June 2021. The Sub-Committee was informed that the advisories on the MOT had been remedied.
