To approve and sign the Minutes of the meeting held on 28 November 2024.

It was proposed by Cllr Dawson and seconded by Cllr Rollason that the Minutes of the meeting held on 28 November 2024 be approved as a correct record and

 

RESOLVED: the Minutes of the previous meeting held on 28 November 2024 were unanimously approved as a correct record and signed by the Chair.

The Committee considered the report presented by the Licensing Manager to approve the updated Statement of Licensing Policy go out to consultation. The Licensing Manager highlighted feedback had been received from safeguarding managers and some minor amendments will be made to the wording of clause 19.2 to include adults with care and support needs.

 

The Licensing Manager answered questions from Members and noted down some amendments to be made to the format of the document, such as removing repetition and also minor amendments to wording such as clause 19.7.8 being amended to refer to unwanted behaviours around toilets. It was noted that once the consultation was finished the document would be put back before the committee to consider the results and any further amendments and to then recommend the policy go before Full Council for approval.

 

Cllr Hayes acknowledged the work put into the document by officers and proposed that the updated statement of licensing policy be put out to consultation. This was seconded by Cllr Peart; and

 

RESOLVED: unanimously that the updated Statement of Licensing Policy be put out to consultation.
