Consideration was given to an application for a Private Hire Vehicle Licence Extension for a LDV Maxus Minibus vehicle registration S16 EXC. The vehicle was 13 years old being registered in March 2008.

 

The Licensing Officer presented the agenda report and the committee considered photos of the vehicle. It was noted that the vehicle has a valid MOT until 26 April 2022 with no advisories and it has passed the recent vehicle inspection.

 

The Applicant attended and spoke in support of the application confirming that the vehicle hadn’t come to committee previously due to the lockdown.

 

RESOLVED - The vehicle registration S16 EXC, LDV Maxus minibus, be approved for a Private Hire Vehicle Licence Extension for a period of 6 months to fall in line with the licence expiry date.


Reason for Decision

Having considered the report from the Licensing Officer and listened to the representation by the Applicant, the Licensing and Regulatory Sub-Committee was satisfied that public safety would not be compromised by the granting of the licence sought.

Consideration was given to an application for a Private Hire Vehicle Licence for a vehicle over 5 years old and a small plate request for a Mercedes S Class vehicle registration EU59 LSC. The vehicle is 11 years old being registered in September 2009.

 

The Licensing Officer presented the agenda report and the committee considered photos of the vehicle. It was noted that the vehicle has a valid MOT until 24 March 2022 with no advisories and it has passed the recent vehicle inspection.

 

The Applicant attended and spoke in support of the application.

 

RESOLVED - The vehicle registration EU59 LSC, Mercedes S Class, be approved for a 12 month Private Hire Vehicle Licence and request for a small plate, subject to a six month taxi inspection test due to the age of the vehicle.
