A Full Council meeting involves
all 47 Councillors,
and is chaired by the Chair of the Council.
Full Council has a range of functions
including:
- Setting the budget and council tax
levels
- Setting the policy
framework within which all decisions must sit
- Approving changes to the Council's
Constitution
- Appointing the Leader of the
Council
- Appointing Chairs, Vice Chairs and
Members of the Committees.
- Appointing the Council's Senior
Officers (on the recommendation of the Appointments and
Remuneration Committee)
- Any other decisions which must be
taken by Full Council in law and/or the Constitution.
