The Executive considered a report which set out the proposed Coastal Asset Review Project Management Support for Devon, Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly which will be 100% funded by the Environment Agency.
The Project Manager submitted that that the current assets would continue to be supported by the project and would look to include further assets in due course. She advised that they worked collaboratively with Plymouth University and academia and stated that update reports would be brought before members as the project progressed.
Resolved
(a)
That the Council continues to work in partnership
with the Environment Agency on the development of a capital project
to advise on surveys for Coastal Defence
Assets in the Devon, Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly Area that are
in need of repair.
(b)
That the Council works with the Environment Agency
and other partner agencies and stakeholders to procure contractors
to carry out the above surveys.
(c) That the terms of the Agreement and further amendments if necessary, be approved by the Chief Executive in consultation with the Portfolio Holder.
