The Rough Sleeper Accommodation Programme
(RSAP) is an initiative run by the Ministry of Levelling up,
Housing and Communities, in association with Homes England. It
provided Local Housing Authorities the opportunity to bid for
capital funding to be used towards the purchase of self-contained,
primarily one bedroomed properties to be used exclusively (for a
minimum of 30 years) for move-on accommodation for people with a
recent history of rough sleeping. The initiative enables
Teignbridge DC to purchase 5 one bedroom properties dispersed
across Newton Abbot, Teignmouth and Dawlish.
Decision made in consultation with the Commercial Property Board
who raised no objections.
