The Commercial Property Investment Board in
November 2021 approved the purchase of 3 Luscombe Terrace Dawlish
to be redesigned, improved and refurbished for use as temporary
accommodation as an alternative to Bed and Breakfast. The purchase
and works are complete and the property is now fully occupied.
Officers decided to enhance the internal works ( fire precautions )
and external works ( removal of chimney ) to substantially improve
the Council asset. Final scheme costs £427,609.

The Commercial Property Investment Board
(CPIB) approved the use of Teignbridge DC funds to match fund grant
from the Home Office to procure 18 homes for use to house refugees
in the short term and TDC residents in the longer term. Report
attached. This decision enables officers to purchase 18 properties
from the market.
